This photo shoot in the vineyards turned out to be a real surprise. This family wanted to find a family photographer to keep memories of their little one. They had fallen in love with the images taken in the vineyards with an American family who had come to discover the region.
As usual, I scouted the area to see where the sun was and if the light looked soft. During the scouting, I had a companion who accompanied me for a while a few kilometers down the road: a helicopter spraying the vines with a magical product... Fortunately, during the scouting, we each stayed in our own corner. Once the walk is over, I fine-tune the meeting time so that part of the route is sunrise.
D-Day
At the appointed time, I arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes early.I observe the planned route from a distance to see if anything has changed. As I make my way along the path, I hear a motorized noise...
I couldn't believe my ears! The helicopter had indeed returned one month after the scouting. Surprised, I went to see a winegrower who confirmed that the machine would be spraying the loop I had planned. “Ah, you know, it only comes once or twice a year”.
Luck was not on my side. I went back to my saved locations to see what was nearby and found a nearby spot in a cornfield. I'd done a photo shoot there for a cotton wedding - a beautiful spot! The family arrives and I tell them the news, which I hope isn't too bad. It's only a postponement for another time. Once there, I'm relieved to see that this little corner of paradise is still intact. The session begins, and as always, it's a real pleasure. The images are discovered, sorted and retouched - magnificent images full of authenticity!
